Student Council
Four student council officers are elected by the student body within the first two weeks of the school year. They are responsible to meet regularly to promote fellowship, scholarship, leadership, spiritual life, and harmonious relationships between students and with school personnel.
Officers meet during the Wednesday chapel times, or at other mutually convenient times. Meetings will include times of prayer, as well as discussion and consensus building.
1. Chaplain/President
Responsible to promote spiritual life among students.

Serve as student body Chaplain.

Oversee the running of chapels (room set up, students assigned for music/prayer, etc)

Oversee the running of morning classroom devotionals (students scheduled, etc.)

Represent the student body to the Administration as needed.
2. Activities Coordinator/Vice President
Responsible for healthy student social activities.

Plan and oversee fun activities intended to benefit all students (& potentially their families)

Plan and oversee outreach activities.

Plan and oversee banquets, etc.

Function in the role of Student President & Chaplain if necessary.
3. Journalist/Secretary
Responsible to record the school year, and promote EBBI through media.

Take regular pictures, and display them for student and church enjoyment.

Choose and develop a way to remember the year (yearbook, scrapbook, CD, etc.)

Provide suggestions and pictures for updating the EBBI website.

Consider ways to use media in promoting EBBI (PowerPoint, DVD, video, etc.)

Serve as school secretary, taking minutes of officers meetings, etc.
4. Facilities Coordinator/Treasurer
Responsible to promote a positive physical environment, and to serve as
treasurer as needed.

Be sure that all Gratis is done by the time the last student leaves on Friday.

Notify Mr. Dannenberg or Pastor Friesen if supplies are running low.

Be alert to teacher or student needs in the EBBI classrooms & library. This would include such things as chalk, clean blackboards, decorations, tales & chairs, etc.

Be alert to needs in other areas used by students, such as the student lounge, library, washrooms, etc. This would include keeping the lounge attractive, checking printer ink & paper, etc.

Serve as treasurer, keeping a record of expenses incurred in student
activities.
