Grading System

Students are normally given a letter or number grade on all homework, and a final GPA, or Grade Point Average, at the end of the semester. The following chart shows how to compare letter, number or GPA marks.

95-97 = 4.00 GPA

A-

92-94 = 3.75 GPA

B+

89-91 = 3.50 GPA

B

86-88 = 3.25 GPA

B-

83-85 = 3.00 GPA

C+

80-82 = 2.75 GPA

C

77-79 = 2.50 GPA

C-

74-76 = 2.00 GPA

D+

71-73 = 1.75 GPA

D

68-70 = 1.50 GPA

D-

66-67 = 1.00 GPA

F

Note: Any student failing to maintain a grade point average of 2.0 (C-) or higher shall be placed on academic probation. Any student failing to raise the grade point average to the minimal standard shall be allowed to audit classes without credit. To graduate, senior students must obtain a cumulative grade point average not lower than 2.25.
